We have all heard the negative comments about rawhide treats, so why not try this alternative version? They are far healthier and a lot cheaper.

Ingredient List:
1 large sweet potato (wash, pat dry)
Directions:
1. Preheat the main oven to 250°F. Line a baking tray or sheet with parchment paper.
2. First make the potato stable and easy to work with by slicing off one side, lengthwise, as close to the outer side as is possible. Don’t throw the cut piece out!
3. Slice the rest of the sweet potato into slices of approximately ⅓”and place the slices on the baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for around 3 hours, flip them over after about 90 minutes.
4. When cooked, allow to cool on a wire baking rack*.
* They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 21 days or 3 months in the freezer compartment.
